Synopsis
1958. A storm rages. Trapped inside, Sarah and Grampa bring to life the remarkable story of legendary gold prospectors, John ‘Cariboo’ Cameron and his miner-wife Sophia. Spinning You Home celebrates a haunting chapter in BC gold rush history; promises that transcend death; and the power of love and storytelling.
Premiere
Spinning You Home has evolved over a lot of years. The play’s professional premiere in 2021 was produced by Spinners Collective and staged as a Jericho Arts Centre Guest Production in Vancouver, BC. The run was cut short due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
