Synopsis
Our Ghosts is a haunting mystery inspired by the disappearance of the playwright’s own father. Flight Officer Gerald Stubbs disappeared from the Comox Air Base in a Canadian Forces fighter jet with his co-pilot and was never heard from again. At the heart of the play is a love story and the mystery that defines one woman’s life and, by extension, the lives of her children.
Premiere
Our Ghosts premiered at Western Edge Theatre in a lovely, heartfelt production at Harbour City Theatre in Nanaimo, BC on October 25, 2019. The beautiful and haunting Vancouver premiere of Our Ghosts, presented at Firehall Arts Centre and produced by Our Ghosts Collective in association with Western Gold Theatre, opened on March 22nd, 2023, decades after the playwright’s father disappeared on March 22nd, 1956. It was magic.
